Teacher Information

TANVIC is an excellent resource for teachers. With our many links in the education sector, the TANVIC agencies are well placed to help you establish your own networks and further your careers. We have the capacity to introduce you to many schools and this increases your work opportunities. Each member agency of TANVIC has met stringent quality controls and works within the TANVIC Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. We work hard to help our CRTs maximize their employment opportunities and assist and support them in the process to gain full registration. We can also provide introductions to reputable overseas agencies for those wishing to teach overseas. These are only some of the many ways we assist our teachers.

Each member agency is an individual and privately run business. There are typically two types of agency. Recruitment agencies are agencies who employ their CRTs, paying wages, superannuation, and work cover. Booking agencies offer CRTs work, but the school remains the employer. As such each agency sets their own fee structure and has individual registration requirements.

Selection of an agency will depend on your personal circumstances such as career aspirations, your location, financial/taxation reasons and customer service. Depending on the agency you select the type of work you can be offered include casual days, block bookings, and short term contracts. Many short term contracts are filled from the pool of CRTs the agency has been providing the school.
